That’s really interesting. I am sort of the opposite, though. I do love sunshine, but only after I’ve been gently introduced to it after waking up in a shuttered house so I can ease into it. Same with noise.
Both ends of the time change throw me off, and every year seemed to be worse. I retired 2 years ago and now I just ignore it. I’ve been much happier now that my inner clock rules. I’m also blessed to share my life with a cat who is content to sleep in with me!
The change used to happen later in March when I was a kid, but at some point they changed it. On the one hand, I like that it stays light later. On the other, I'm tired! 😫
Acknowledging and accepting our personal needs, rhythms and seasons is so hard to do, and it's also always the best thing we can do. I totally relate. 💚🌿
It was pure luck! I was actually trying to get a photo of them sitting together and looking at me, which was also incredibly cute. Then they stood up and yawned at the exact moment I took the photo!
I am with you, Robin. I never get jet lag no matter how many time zones I cross, but springing forward that one daylight hour takes me weeks to get used to. For me, it’s not being able to wake up with the morning light for another few weeks. 💤😴💤
Ugh. Right there with you. SAD and all.
It hit me today that maybe my sensitivity to light (or its lack) explains both my seasonal depression and my struggle with daylight savings. 🤯

I think my cats are the only creatures who like daylight savings. They enjoyed getting their breakfast early today!
Well I learned something new today, didn’t know the US changes in a different week to Europe!

Absolutely remarkable!
Amazing photo of the two cats yawning! I am in awe of your timing! 👏👏👏

It's baffling how much that single hour affects me!
It always catches me off guard how thrown off I feel by daylight savings!! You’re not alone!
That is, I'm not glad it throws you off, too, but it is comforting to know I'm not alone!
Glad it's not just me.
