The easiest creative challenge you'll find all summer
A practice for the exhausted, the time-crunched, the "I can't even"'s among us
Is it just me, or are creative challenges everywhere this summer? In just the past week or so, I’ve encountered:
1000 Words of Summer with
Writing Co-Lab’s Summer Camp (which, if you have the time and budget, you might seriously consider — I took a workshop from one of their faculty, the wonderful
, and it was fabulous)The 10x10 Experiment with
They all sound genuinely fantastic. Someday I hope to try them all. AND I know, without a doubt, that today is not that day. Tomorrow’s not looking so good, either.
So for the exhausted, the creatively depleted, the burned out, the time-crunched, the “I can’t even”’s and just the super, super busy among us, I offer an alternative:
Can you find 15 minutes a day for the next two weeks?
No? That’s 100 percent okay.
Yes?
(Saying yes changes everything, you know.)
Still yes?
Then I invite you to join me for the Super Easy 15-Minute Creative Challenge of June 2024 (I made that up just now, bet you’d never guess):
For the next two weeks:
Once per day, set a timer for 15 minutes.
Do your creative work. You already know what it is
Stop when the timer ends. Or don’t. Your choice.
That’s it. That’s the challenge.
You in? Let me know in the comments, and we can cheer each other on together.
You’re the best, Robin!
This is such a great idea! Sometimes all we need is that tiny break in our day to focus on things we *want* to be doing.
