Thank you. This is exactly what I needed to read this morning. I'm feeling a massive stretch in so many directions and my body and mind want to hide. A good reminder to Aldo get back to daily yoga...it helps me shine.
I’m so happy to hear this, Elizabeth! Thank you. And for what it’s worth, it’s okay to hide sometimes, too. The time we spend feeling safe helps us gather the energy to shine!
I am a writer too, with the same questions. Here is the answer, and I am telling myself the same thing every day: no other person can write what you write the way you write it. There is only one you and even if you don't believe it, your words may touch someone's life and help them someday. Write for yourself, for the truth within you, for what you wish to say. When the world meets your words, who knows what may happen. But please, keep writing.
So right and so important to remember! We tend to be harsh on ourselves, unforgiving. But maybe we should embrace what we feel and show ourselves compassion, let the messy side take the center stage and acknowledge its human form. I am learning that when we allow the vulnerability to show, quite often others reach out to embrace us and encourage us.
Well said, Tali. I’m discovering this, too. The more I show up as my messy, vulnerable self, the more beautiful connections I make with other messy, vulnerable humans.
Beautiful: "Do you want to be safe? (Yes, of course.) Do you want to share your heart’s work more? (Yes, a thousand times!)"
It's not just about what I want. It's about what I want more than other things.
Thank you, Louise!

Every day I write, I ask myself, “why would anyone listen to me? Why should they listen to me?”
Then I do it anyway. I know things I have to say are important but they’re never going to be comfortable. Not in this lifetime anyway.
Thank you for writing this.
Thank you, Willow! And well done. The world needs your voice!

There is an amazing sense of freedom when you discover you are not alone, isn't there? :)
Such a wonderful and helpful insight!
Thanks Danielle! 😊
This is a great concept! I am going to remember this the next time I'm feeling inferior (10 minutes from now).
Thanks Charity! Good thing is, it helps at least a little bit every time (speaking from experience). 😊
A lovely rebrand of an often present fear 💚
Thank you, Bronwen! I'm glad the idea resonated.
