A conversation I had with my therapist yesterday:
Me: “I did a little editing on my novel last week, but I’m frustrated by my slow progress.”
My therapist: “Is there a way to reframe that?”
Me: “Um… I guess I was really busy, so maybe I don’t need to beat myself up for not making much progress?”
My therapist: “How about, you made progress on your novel last week.”
Me: 🤯
All progress is good progress.
Make plans for the path ahead, sure, but don’t forget to celebrate how far you’ve come.
Thanks, Robin. "All progress is good progress," is worth remembering! That's one of my biggest gripes about my day - I didn't get enough done!
My older son and his wife went to Cinque Terre in 2018 or 2019. They loved it! When did you go?
