For the past several weeks, I’ve been beautifully consistent about sending a new creative letter out each morning.
Damn, it felt good. So accomplished. So organized. So on it.
Then life happened. My cat Stella got very sick (she’s getting better now, thank all the big and little gods). My nervous system went into overdrive. Morning letters became impossible.
So I’ve been publishing evening letters instead. By the time evening rolls around, I feel a little calmer. I’ve had an entire day of watching Stella improve, which reassures my nervous system. I scribbled an idea for today’s letter while brushing my teeth this morning, knowing I’d return to it later.
Now, in that tiny space between wrapping up work and allowing myself to wind down for the night, here we are.
Sometimes life provides a lot of space to be creative. Sometimes we squeeze out what we can, when we can.
Both ways of creating are right.
Glad Stella is on the mend!
Sending you and Stella love💕
